Supporting downtown San diego Seniors

Friends of Downtown collects non-perishable food, blankets, books, socks, and toiletries to fill 150 large holiday gift bags for senior shut-ins with limited incomes. During the first week of December, members prepare all the gift bags at the Mary and Gary West Senior Center, which distributes them through its home meal delivery program.

“I truly appreciate the kindness shown by your organization. Christmas can be a difficult time of the year for many people that have no family or can’t afford to participate in giving Christmas gifts. Your gift to me brought a smile to my face & really made  my day! Thank you so much.”
